The minimum qualification for the course is as specified by the Pharmacy Council of India

The medium of instruction is in English. The college imparts education to boys and girls. The minimum qualification for the course is as specified by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi

The D PHARM course is of two years.

The syllabus of the course is framed in accordance with the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.

At the end of each academic year, the Directorate of Medical Education, Government of Kerala will conduct the examinations.

The minimum qualification for admission to the course is:

 A candidate who passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Kerala state with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as optional subjects

                                      OR

Any other qualifications approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent there to be are eligible to apply. 
                                       OR
V.H.S.C of Kerala from 1994-1995 sessions with Group A and B only are considered as equivalent examination for admission to  D Pharm course. 

GROUP A- NCERT syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Maths 
GROUP B- NCERT syllabus in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

 

CURRICULUM:

The course encompasses:

Part I – First Year

Part II – Second Year

Part III – Practical Training for 3 months.

 

EXAMINATIONS:

The final examination (Board Exam) is at the end of first and second year of the course. 40% marks in each theory subjects and their practical, separately is a must for passing the examination.

The college will conduct internal assessment examination (Sessional) in theory and practical. The internal assessment is out of 20 marks in each subject will be included in the final examination marks.

75% attendance in theory and practical for each subject is mandatory for appearing the examination

 

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

The intake for D Pharm course is 60 students. 50% is from the government merit and 50% from the management.

The application form for registration and admission is enclosed with the prospectus and can be had from the college office in all working days.

The dully filled application form with necessary documents should reach the office on or before the last date. Incomplete and incorrect applications will not be considered. If needed, an entrance test of a short duration will be conducted.

Candidates provisionally selected for admission has to appear for an interview before the principal accompanied by parent/guardian on such dates and time as are individually notified or advertised. Candidates should bring all the original certificates and other documents along with attested copies and four passport size photographs at the time of interview.

Admissions are made on the clear understanding that those who are admitted will fully accept the rules and regulations in force and those which may be enforced or modified as and when required, by the college or other educational authorities.

Any student found to violate any of the rules and regulations of the college or found disturbing the peace in the campus will be liable for suspension by the Head of the institution (Principal) reserving the right to dismiss the student without any explanation or refund of fees and any other charges remitted to the college.
